Lume - Sold by CMWyvern Lume - Sold by CMWyvern
Here is Lume, a one of a kind posable art doll! She's 22" long and 9" tall at the top of her horns. Lume was carefully made entirely from scratch using polymer clay, wire, quilt batting, and hand dyed synthetic fur.

The spots on her horns, face, and ears, and the grooves in her claws are glow-in-the-dark! She features posable ears and realistically flexible ankles for more natural posing.

The more you make yourself, the more you will be able to look at other people's and guess about how they made it and what they used.

Beautiful!
I love that the claws are made of clay and came out of the fur instead of having a clay foot.
It is more pretty this way.
Also the gradient on the fur is amazingly well done!
And I may follow you on facebook =)

Actually there is a clay foot, but with fur applied to it to get this effect.

Thank you! I try to improve on each one - Lume has the best ankle joints yet. And the colors.. they just sort of happen. I don't start with much of a plan!

Longer!? O____O Wow! But I guess with more knowledge come more to think of when making them, and things to do better. ^^

Thats impressive! Or maybe scary to know as Im trying to make my own ones right now. Haha But I start out easy with small and floppy dolls. My dream is to be able to create a horse being but Im dead scared of the sewing in that case. I have never been good at sewing and making patterns, and I cant wrap my head around how people can get their posables to look so defined. I mean with the legs, its not only a body and legs sticking out under them, you really see the front legs/shoulders and hind legs rounding out from the sides of the animals, I understand its because they are sewn that way and I guess when I have put wrapping on a armature I will understand better how that works. Hopefully. XD

The nice thing about posables is that you DON'T need a really good pattern like you do for a normal plushie! It's actually much, much more forgiving.
