Fire Dragon by CMWyvern Fire Dragon by CMWyvern
YESYESYES!!!!! I finally got my second posable art doll done!!!!
Calling him "fire dragon" for lack of a better idea...
He took soo long to paint... Yellow and orange are not very opaque and take many coats.
I learned a few things from Squirrel Fox, my first posable, and this one came out much better, particularly in regards to the merge of fur and clay.

However, I am not going to use that dye/paint on the fur again. It simply does not work that great. (Though it looks good in the photo.) Darker/thicker applications rub off of the fur, and when it gets on the clay (I assemble the whole thing, paint the fur, then paint the clay) it causes the regular acrylic to adhere less securely. So, back to the dye search!

Fire Dragon has a polymer clay head, feet, and claws, and a faux-fur covered body with a posable armature inside. He is about 24" from his nose to the tip of his tail.

Thank you!
This guy is actually not for sale - I made him before I discovered better dyes for the fur and thus the color is not sticking so well. However, this one, Lume fav.me/d7c56o7 will be for sale next! She will be around $400.

Ok.
Well, I'm sure I could make one, but I have no immediate plans too.
